In Dialogue with Nature
Throughout history, our ancestors shared a deep and reciprocal emotional bond with nature, engaging in a continuous and heartfelt dialogue with the natural world. This connection was a fundamental part of the lives of hunter-gatherers, allowing them to exist harmoniously within the embrace of their surroundings. However, in the bustling pace of agriculture, industrialization and modernity. While people still find solace and joy in the arms of nature, this profound conversation has dimmed. Yet, the wonders of recent scientific exploration reveal that the animal kingdom possesses intricate methods of communication. Astonishingly, trees themselves participate in a complex network known as the "wood wide web," akin to a vast forest brain where information flows freely. This captivating revelation fuels my creative imagination, leading me to believe that nature possesses a consciousness far richer than our previous understanding. Amidst the constraints imposed by the C19 lockdown and the looming environmental challenges, my attention turned acutely to the world around me,- I felt an innate calling to delve into the intricate relationship between humanity and nature. I converted my vintage lenses and found a "parallel world" at my doorstep. This exploration became a profound journey, an opportunity to unravel the nuanced connections that often go unnoticed. With a diverse background as a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven to push the boundaries of photographic art, to stretch its fibres to their very limits. Through this relentless pursuit, as a female artist,I seek fresh avenues of expressing my innermost emotions within the expansive realm of Visual art. Yet, my intention extends beyond the confines of the immediate subject; I yearn for the observer to peer more profoundly, to glimpse the intricate layers that weave together to form the tapestry of existence. My artistic endeavour strives to rekindle the ancient dialogue between humanity and nature, bridging the gap that time has woven. With every captured image and every stroke of artistic innovation, I aim not only to reawaken our senses but also to reform the broken bonds between us and the natural world. In a world where distraction abounds, my art beckons the viewer to pause, ponder, and perceive anew – to re-establish the conversation that was once so profoundly woven into the fabric of our being.
